Michael P. Warren II

Program Manager

Michael P. Warren II serves as Program Manager of Penn Student Agencies (PSA) at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leads strategic operations, fiscal management, compliance, and administrative oversight for one of the largest student-run organizations on campus. In this role, Michael is instrumental in shaping the student leadership experience by fostering experiential learning, transferable skill development, and entrepreneurial leadership growth. Michael holds a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from Penn, with a concentration in Leading and Managing Organizational Culture and Change. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University, concentrating in Law and Society. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Michael returned to Penn in 2022 after working in New York City, where he assist the founding team in developing and leading global growth operations for a consumer wellness start-up that has since gone public. His professional background spans high-growth environments and mission-driven organizations, with a consistent focus on operational excellence, leadership development, and cross-functional alignment. Michael’s connection to PSA began as an undergraduate, where he discovered a deep passion for business and student leadership. He rose through the organization’s ranks, first serving as Director of People and later as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the operations of PSA’s ten businesses at the time. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of the Student Run Business Association (SRBA), a national nonprofit supporting student-led enterprises. He was later appointed Vice President and ultimately served as President while living in New York. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Michael values balance and connection. He enjoys spending time outdoors in Wissahickon Valley Park with his two dogs, Nola and Gio, and exploring Philadelphia’s vibrant restaurant scene with friends.
About the Role
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of all student-run businesses within Penn Student Agencies (PSA). The Program Manager is the direct supervisor of all student leadership and full-time staff, with indirect supervision of 80+ student staff. This role focuses on providing entrepreneurial/small business experiential training and mentorship for young adults while coaching them on: staff management; professional development training; administrative and HR responsibilities (recruiting, hiring, on-boarding); strategic marketing; customer service; and fiscal responsibility.

Jonathon J. May, EdD

Associate Director for Student Development

Jonathon graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia with a degree in Sociology and Religion, has a Master of Arts degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to joining Penn, Jonathon served as the Class Dean for 3rd & 4th year students at Allegheny College and as Director of Student Services at Larkin University.

Jonathon brings to Penn a wealth of experience in student affairs, as well as a proven track record of success in Student Engagement – skills that will prove invaluable in meeting departmental goals and objectives. Jonathon lives with his partner and their two cats (Donatella and Spud) in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. On the weekends you will find him tending his gardens and exploring the beautiful mountains and beaches that New Jersey has to offer.
About the Role
In his role, Jonathon will be responsible for supervising the Student Engagement Team, providing development and advisement to the Welcome Desk, Building Ambassador, and Penn Student Agencies teams, while also collaborating with colleagues across the university to provide student-focused programming for Houston Hall.
